Thomas Jefferson wrote, "All men are created equal." Can you give one fact about life in Colonial America that shows these words were not exactly true? Please, no repeat answers. Bonus points to all who participate!
Jefferson quote, I believe is not exactly true because if all men are created equal than all immigrants from a different country; whom wants to be part of America soil should have the same rights as everyone else without being treated like how it use to be for the slaves.
Thomas Jefferson's quote is proof of contradiction and ironic, because not only women but slaves weren't getting the rights they deserved. Women had to stay home and slaves were still considered as property not a human being
The women were not treated equaly. An example of this is the salem witch trial.

ReplyDeleteEverybody was treated different. The women were not able to vote or work. they only worked in the houses.
